The Question

A jug holds 3 times as much as a glass. Together, one jug and 4 glasses hold 2,100 ml. How much does the jug hold?

Then check together

The Answer

Reveal the Answer
900 ml

Draw the jug as 3 units and each glass as 1. That is 7 units in total, so 1 unit = 2100 ÷ 7 = 300 ml and the jug is 3 × 300 = 900 ml. Counting the units correctly is the whole question.
