The Question
A school has 800 pupils and 45% of them are boys. 30% of the girls play a musical instrument. How many girls play an instrument?
The Answer
Reveal the Answer
Boys are 360, so girls are 440. Then 30% of 440 = 132. The trap is taking 30% of 800. Say out loud what each percentage is a percentage of before calculating.
