The Question

A fair six-sided dice is rolled and a coin is flipped. How many possible outcomes are there altogether, and what is the probability of getting an even number AND a head?

Then check together

The Answer

Reveal the Answer
12 outcomes, probability 1/4

6 dice results × 2 coin results = 12 outcomes. Even numbers are 2, 4 and 6, so the ones that work are 2H, 4H and 6H — three of them. 3/12 = 1/4. List them in a grid; guessing at combined probabilities is how marks are lost.
