Singapore Maths Academy

At Singapore Maths Academy, we aim to provide high-quality and consistent learning experiences for every child. This Lesson Policy outlines our commitments, expectations, and agreements with parents and students.

Our Promise
We promise that in every lesson our tutors:

• Will plan and deliver lessons to the best of their ability.

• Will be punctual and meet students with a positive attitude.

• Will stay focused throughout the whole lesson.

• Will develop each student’s mathematical understanding through questioning and assessments.

• Will give the full allocated time. Where this is not possible due to exceptional circumstances relating to the tutor, the time will be made up in future lessons.

Our Expectations
We expect that:

• Parents will be organised so that children are punctual and do not miss lessons.

• Parents will ensure fees are maintained and inform us of any changes.

• Parents will notify us at admin@SingaporeMathsAcademy.co.uk if they cannot attend a one-to-one lesson.

• Parents will ensure they meet the minimum hardware and internet requirements for Zoom and any whiteboard software we use.

• Parents will provide a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice for permanent cancellations.

• Students will behave appropriately and respectfully in lessons.

• Students will remain focused on the lesson, avoiding distractions from other tabs, devices, or unrelated activities.

Our Agreement
The following agreement applies between Singapore Maths Academy and parents:

• Group lessons are fixed and cannot be changed by parents.

• Missing a group lesson will result in a lost lesson. There are no refunds or rescheduling for missed group lessons.

• Once monthly fees are paid, there will be no refunds.

• Terms and conditions may be updated at any time.

• To cancel tuition services fully, a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice must be given.

• Payments made are non-refundable and cover only the lesson(s) they were intended for.

• For one-to-one lessons, a minimum of 48 hours’ notice must be provided for cancellations. Requests to reschedule are subject to management approval, and rescheduling is not guaranteed.

• All cancellations or changes to lessons must be submitted to admin@SingaporeMathsAcademy.co.uk. Refunds will not be considered without written notice.

• If a tutor is unable to make a lesson, a pre-recorded lesson will be provided, up to a maximum of 3 times per academic year.

• All end-of-term holiday lessons (December, April, and Summer holidays) will be provided as pre-recorded sessions.
