Compensation: $50,000 - $70,000 annual base salary, commensurate with experience, plus project bonuses

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop designs and documentation for new and existing products, including creating drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and other documentation to fully define products for manufacture and ensure specifications are met.
  • Research specifications and identify purchased components for use in designs.
  • Independently manage both small and parts of large-scale projects.
  • Direct and assist with the build of components and assemblies for prototypes and pilot builds.
  • Assist in the development of engineering, drafting, and release standards.
  • Product development process, including design brainstorming and voice of customer activities.
  • Initiate Change Order (CO) documentation, including the development of BOMs.
  • Perform required calculations to ensure all dimensions, tolerances, and other specifications are accurate as represented.

Required Qualifications:

  • Two-year technical degree in drafting or design.
  • Experience in AutoCAD LT and/or REVIT LT.
  • Experience in developing construction documents (drawings, specifications) is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of drafting standards and processes.
  • Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Willingness to train on our products.
  • Familiarity with reading, interpreting, and understanding electrical contracts, plans, drawings, and specifications.

Additional Proficiencies:

  • Knowledge of Low Voltage Systems (Access Control & Camera Systems) is an asset, but not required.
