Averages and Probability (5 Days )

Course Information

This five-day May half-term course covers Averages (Mean, Mode & Median), Probability and basics of Venn diagrams, as well as covering the range.

Who Is This For?

This course is intended to cover the foundations and challenging problem-solving questions that come up in 11+ Maths entrance exams and hence is ideal for those who are in Year 5 preparing for their Eleven Plus entrance exams for both Grammar Schools and Independent schools.

Pre-requisites

All children enrolling in this course must know how to confidently:

• Add and subtract
• Multiply and divide efficiently

As the lessons are online, we recommend a strong wired or WiFi internet connection. A touchscreen device (preferably with a large screen) for our Whiteboard and any other device for a Zoom call.

Course Structure

This is a five-day ONLINE course with each lesson 1 hour long, with an additional 10 minutes reserved (per lesson) for some children who may not have understood or need more time to complete other tasks. The entire course is 5 hours.

Community & Homework

You will be invited to our 11+ community, where you can access other exclusive materials and we will set homework at the end of the course and give children 1 week to complete it. Homework will be marked and sent back to parents for them to be able to gauge how well their children have understood the topics.
