Job Description

Peace of Mind Facility and Home Services is excited to announce an opening for a part-time Cleaning Technician. 

  • This position is in Lutz, FL, two days per week , Sunday & Wednesday 7:45 pm to 11:45 pm. This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of assigned spaces, thereby directly impacting our client's satisfaction and health. Located within our facilities, this job is onsite and requires direct interaction with various environments—ranging from commercial and industrial spaces to residential areas. As a Cleaning Technician, you’ll ensure that all spaces are pristine, safe, and welcoming for occupants and visitors alike. This position is ideal for those who take pride in a job well done and are committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize all assigned areas, following specific procedures and schedules.
  • Utilize a variety of cleaning tools and equipment, ensuring all are maintained in good working order and stored properly after use.
  • Perform dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to remove dirt, debris, and dust from floors and other surfaces.
  • Disinfect and sanitize high-contact surfaces to prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses.
  • Manage waste removal and ensure proper segregation and disposal as per the environmental guidelines.
  • Replenish supplies and materials in bathrooms, kitchen areas, and other facilities as necessary.
  • Report and communicate regularly with management regarding the status of cleaning tasks and any potential issues or needs.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, wearing protective gear as required and using cleaning agents appropriately.
  • Inspect areas for maintenance needs and report any damage or repairs needed to the facility management.
  • Stay updated with new cleaning techniques and products that can increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Cleaning Technician or similar role with a strong track record of successful cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, including appropriate safety measures and usage guidelines.
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets and ability to follow safety protocols to prevent hazards.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on providing exceptional service to clients and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to operate and maintain various cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, floor buffers, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, bend, and stand for long periods.
  • Good communication skills, proficient in understanding and following written and verbal instructions.
  • Reliability and punctuality, with a professional attitude towards staff and customers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further training or certification in Cleaning Technology is a plus.
  • Eligibility to work in the specified location and readiness to perform the physical duties of the job.
