About the Position
Lane County Public Works seeks an Animal Welfare Officer for its Animal Services Program. This position works to provide humane animal care and control services. Duties include performing field enforcement of animal regulation and protection laws, rules and regulations; assisting the public in finding lost pets; helping to educate the public regarding responsible pet ownership; and performing related duties as assigned. Animal Services is located within the General Services Division of Lane County Public Works. Animal Services seeks to ensure public and animal health, safety, and quality of life within the community and works to bring about and to maintain an environment in which people and animals can live harmoniously.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm
