We are looking for a Tasting Room Host to join our family of wineries.

Position Overview:
The Tasting Room Host is a guest-focused hospitality professional responsible for delivering exceptional wine experiences and representing the winery with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm. This role is central to welcoming visitors, guiding them through curated tastings, and sharing engaging stories about our wines, vineyard, and legacy. As a vital member of our hospitality team, the Tasting Room Host ensures that every visitor feels welcomed, informed, and inspired by our wines and the land from which they are crafted, encourages wine and merchandise sales, maintains the presentation of the tasting room, and assists in the execution of special events and daily operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Hospitality
- Greet all guests with genuine enthusiasm and a professional, welcoming demeanor.
- Conduct personalized wine tastings and, when needed, lead educational tours for groups of up to 30 guests.
- Share detailed information about the winery’s history, wine production, and vineyard practices.
- Provide thoughtful wine recommendations and respond to guest inquiries with expertise and poise.
- Ensure each visitor enjoys a memorable and enjoyable tasting experience.

Sales & Service
- Promote and sell wine, wine club memberships and merchandise in alignment with sales goals.
- Operate the winery’s point-of-sale (POS) system and handheld devices to process transactions accurately.
- Communicate wine club benefits confidently and encourage sign-ups when appropriate.

Facility Presentation & Operational Support
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional tasting room environment at all times.
- Restock wines and retail merchandise during downtime.
- Participate in the upkeep of tasting areas, including bottle dusting, glass polishing, and general cleaning tasks.
- Represent the winery at offsite tastings or events when needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced setting.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing needs.
- Tech-savvy with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and reservation platforms (experience with systems like Tock, WineDirect, or similar is advantageous)
- Customer service mindset with a commitment to delivering a superior guest experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hospitality, wine service, or a guest-facing environment.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to assist across departments as needed
- Flexible, solution-oriented, and able to adapt to evolving guest and operational needs

Professional Presentation:
- Demonstrates excellent grooming and personal presentation aligned with a luxury hospitality environment
- Maintains a composed and courteous manner under pressure
- High standard of professionalism, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for wine and hospitality.

Physical Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- The role requires standing and walking for extended periods.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, type, and communicate clearly.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently (e.g., cases of wine).
- Able to work in close team environments while maintaining guest-focused energy and efficiency.

Working Conditions:
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
