Hello Special Education Assistants!

Come work with a woman and therapist run company! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Assistants in the South St. Paul, MN area to support High School EBD students.

Responsibilities:

• Position: Special Education Paraprofessional
• Temporary position : ~3 months
• Support High School students with emotional and behavioral needs
• Must be comfortable supporting high needs and behaviors
• Hours: 7:35-2:35 (7 hour day; 6.5 hours paid)
• Assist in implementing student Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), 504 Plans, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and sensory plans
• Work under the direction of a licensed teacher

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or equivalent, or 2 years post secondary and at least 60 completed credits OR
• Paraprofessional Credential through Minnesota Department of Education (such as passing score on ParaPro or ParaEducator Assessments or credentialed on the PELSB rubric)
• Previous experience working in the school setting preferred
