BIP is currently expanding its footprint in the United States, focusing on growing its Capital Markets and Financial Services lines. Our teams operate at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and data to help our clients in driving smarter decisions, reducing risks, and staying ahead in a fast-evolving market environment.

About the Role:

The Solution Architect will define technical architecture for payments and wire-processing platforms supporting our investment banking client’s high-priority initiatives (e.g., US Wires expansion, Payments modernization). This role partners with technology leads, engineers, and product owners to define end-to-end designs ensuring scalability, compliance, resiliency, and alignment with enterprise standards.

You must have valid US work authorization and must physically reside around the posted city, within a 50-mile commute. We are unable to support relocation costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop architectural blueprints and integration patterns for payments/wires platforms.
• Define target-state architectures across Python, Java, .NET, Oracle, and Hadoop/Informatica ecosystems.
• Evaluate vendor and cloud solutions; ensure alignment with bank-wide technology principles.
• Review application designs for security, performance, observability, and operational readiness.
• Guide engineering teams through implementation phases and ensure standards compliance.
• Promote reuse, modular design, and modernization of legacy systems.

Required Skills:

• 3–10+ years firsthand experience in Python, Java, .NET, Oracle, and Hadoop/Informatica ecosystems.
• Strong architecture background across distributed, mission-critical systems.
• Experience designing large-scale financial applications, ideally in payments or money movement.
• Expertise across at least two major stacks (Python, Java, .NET).
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, APIs, authentication/authorization.
• Ability to simplify complex systems and communicate architectural decisions clearly.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of wire protocols (ISO20022, SWIFT MT, Fedwire, CHIPS).
• Cloud exposure (Azure/AWS), containerization (Kubernetes).
• Experience with data pipelines (Hadoop, Informatica).

**The base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $175,000**
