Job Title: Senior Real Estate Attorney

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Full Remote within California)

Practice Area: Real Estate Finance – Borrower & Lender Side

Experience Level: Senior Attorney

Billable Hours Requirement: 1800

Position Summary

The client is seeking a Senior Real Estate Attorney with significant experience leading complex real estate finance transactions. This role is ideal for a candidate who has first-chair experience representing borrowers and/or lenders in financing transactions, and is looking to work remotely while contributing to a high-caliber legal team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage real estate finance transactions from origination to closing
  • Represent borrowers and/or lenders in structured finance, acquisition, development, and construction loan transactions
  • Negotiate and draft loan documents, intercreditor agreements, participation agreements, and related instruments
  • Collaborate closely with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel to achieve strategic deal outcomes
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to junior attorneys and support staff as needed
  • Ensure timely completion of high-quality work within the firm’s 1800-hour annual billable requirement

Candidate Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active and good standing with the California State Bar
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in real estate finance, including significant first-chair transaction experience
