Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Senior Project Manager for one of our clients in Towson, MD.

Responsibilities

• Management of specific project work.
• Performs day-to-day management of the project, identifies issues and risks, and recommends possible issue and risk mitigation strategies associated with the project.
• Ensures that work performed is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivered on time and on budget.
• Identifies critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria.
• Provides solutions to improve efficiency (e.g., reduce costs while maintaining or improving performance levels).
• Monitors issues and provides resolutions for up-to-date status reports.
• Demonstrates excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Develops meeting agenda and meeting handouts.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven (7) years of successful Project Management experience managing large, high-profile, and sensitive projects.
• Project Management Professional Certification from PMI; Must currently possess a Project, Program, Portfolio, or Agile management certificate from the Project Management Institute.
• Previous experience managing business process implementations, software and/or hardware implementations, and upgrade projects using Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies.
• Experience creating and managing project documentation as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
• Experience in creating and managing project deliverables and documents (SDLC and PMI).
• Experience with executive-level presentations and communication.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, WORD).
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organization and coordination skills.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience managing projects using Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint
• Previous experience working in a government entity (Federal, State, or Local)
• Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive background check
• Experience with the development, management, communication, and support of public safety
