Job Description

Our client is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse to join the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in East Orange, NJ. ICU patients are typically in critical condition and require continuous monitoring and care. Nurses in this role will review data from specialized equipment to track vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration. This is a temp-to-perm position!

Job Function

• Night Shift.
• 7pm-7am.
• Performs a thorough and timely assessment of patient's condition including physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative aspects.
• Identifies problems/nursing needs including discharge needs.
• Intervenes appropriately to address identified problems and needs. Evaluates effectiveness of care and revises plan if necessary.
• Transcribes, verifies and carries out physician orders in an accurate and timely manner
• Initiates and effectively maintains IV therapy.

Job Requirements

• 1 year of experience in an acute care setting.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
• BLS – American Heart Association.
• ACLS.
• Ventilator care experience required.
