Location: 100% remote working EST hours. MUST be physically based in the US.
Job Description
The Senior Business Systems Analyst will play a critical role in bridging business requirements with technology solutions, leveraging deep expertise in SQL, data mapping, and data modeling. This individual will collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and the OCIO (Office of the Chief Investment Officer) to design, document, and implement scalable data solutions. The role requires hands-on experience in analyzing complex datasets, building robust data flows, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of investment data across multiple platforms and systems.
This position is ideal for a professional with a strong understanding of investment data, including securities, portfolios, benchmarks, and performance measurement. The successful candidate will drive requirements gathering, translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications, and partner with development teams to deliver high-quality solutions. In addition, the Senior Business Systems Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert on data architecture and contribute to ongoing data governance, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide data strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with OCIO and business stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize system and data requirements.
Perform detailed SQL queries, data mapping, and data modeling to support investment data flows and system integrations.
Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for development teams.
Validate data accuracy, conduct root-cause analysis on data issues, and design long-term remediation solutions.
Support system testing, UAT, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Contribute to data governance initiatives, including data lineage, standards, and best practices.
Act as a subject matter expert for investment data across securities, benchmarks, portfolios, and performance reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role within an investment management or OCIO environment.
Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries and analyze large datasets.
Hands-on experience with data mapping, data modeling, and relational database design.
Deep understanding of investment data, including securities, portfolios, benchmarks, and performance metrics.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven track record of supporting large-scale system implementations and data transformation projects.
Estimated Min Rate : $60.00
Estimated Max Rate : $75.00
