Title: Pharmacist – Inpatient

Location: New York, NY 10029

Contract: 13 weeks (with possible extension)

Shifts Available: Days, Evenings, Nights

Job Summary:

The Pharmacist Level 1 provides high-quality inpatient pharmacy services by accurately preparing and dispensing medications, supporting the clinical care team with pharmacological expertise, and monitoring patient medication therapies to ensure safe and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately and in a timely manner.
• Answer and resolve questions regarding formulary and non-formulary medications in accordance with hospital policies.
• Provide evidence-based dosing and therapeutic recommendations, including age- and kinetics-adjusted dosing.
• Perform patient education on medication use, proper dosing, administration times, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support optimal medication management.
• Maintain compliance with all departmental, state, and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy.
• 0–2 years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist.
• Active Pharmacist license (state-specific requirements apply).

Additional Required Skills:

• Chemotherapy preparation (Chemo Prep).
• Ability to float to multiple inpatient specialty areas: Critical Care, Pediatrics, Oncology, Transplant, Medicine, and Cardiac units.
• Inpatient hospital experience required. Mail-order or prescription mailing experience will not be considered.
