Field Service Technician – High Voltage Electrical Systems

We’re looking for a highly skilled Field Service Technician who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys the challenge of working on advanced electrical systems. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to field operations, working hands-on with power equipment ranging from 480V up to 500kV. You’ll also be part of a collaborative, safety-focused culture where no two days are the same — whether you're troubleshooting a relay, performing start-up testing, or responding to an emergency call. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform field testing, troubleshooting, start-up, and maintenance on low, medium, and high-voltage electrical systems (up to 500kV)
• Conduct diagnostic testing on power and instrument transformers (Doble, TTR, insulation resistance, etc.)
• Perform testing on cable systems including VLF, Tan Delta, DC Hipot, and power factor testing
• Calibrate and test protective relays — both electro-mechanical and microprocessor-based
• Troubleshoot and test switchgear, circuit breakers, and automatic transfer switches
• Rotate into emergency on-call duty and respond promptly to customer needs
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and internal teams
• Adhere to all electrical safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on-site
• Support team success by sharing technical knowledge and assisting colleagues as needed

You’re an experienced field technician with 5+ years in power systems testing and troubleshooting. You’ve worked with high-voltage equipment, know how to handle relay systems, and take pride in delivering quality work safely and efficiently. You’re adaptable, self-directed, and eager to grow within a company that values technical depth and field leadership.
