SUMMARY 

Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent – Energy Marshall to review, provide analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants. Excellent communication skills are necessary as you will interact with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with an elevated level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success. 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work
• Become a subject matter expert on all high-voltage electrical components and processes. 
• Reference the NFPA standard to define and apply knowledge of NFPA 70E to construction, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
• Establish coordination processes between construction power teams, superintendents and LOTO team.
• Monitor vendor adherence to the site LOTO policy. 
• Communicate the status of energy movement through the site for daily bend and stretch. 
• Establish a personalized LOTO process for each employee’s safety.
• Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service.
• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability 
• Review and understand contract documents.
  • Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies. 
• Review Energy Isolation Permit Log for new or expired permits
• Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules.
• Develop a site logistics plan 
• Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment 
• Collaborating with project partner superintendents 
• Attend Cx weekly team meeting
• Attend Global Safety Pro meeting

QUALIFICATIONS  

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience
• Minimum 8 years of construction experience with two of those years having supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor 
• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects 
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks 
• Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices 
• Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level 
• Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills 
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies 
• Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback

• Current driver’s license

**The base pay range for this role is $126,300- $189,500. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). 

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
