Lead Advisor Opportunity - Financial Services

A highly respected and growth-focused wealth management firm is seeking a Lead Advisor to join its team in a key client-facing and business development role in the Denver Metropolitan area. The firm primarily supports business owners—especially family businesses and closely held partnerships—navigate transitions and succession planning. This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven and experienced advisor to work with a sophisticated client base, contribute to the firm’s strategic growth, and ultimately step into a long-term succession role.

Role Overview

  • Serve as a primary advisor for a select group of clients, delivering thoughtful financial guidance across investments, estate planning, tax strategies, and retirement planning
  • Assist in preparing for and executing complex client meetings alongside a senior advisor
  • Develop customized financial plans tailored to clients’ goals, risk tolerance, and financial situations
  • Lead new business development initiatives with a focus on acquiring clients with $500K+ in investable assets, large insurance needs, or closely held businesses.
  • Stay current on market trends, regulatory developments, and best practices to provide informed and timely advice
  • Coordinate operational, service, and compliance-related activities, especially within platforms such as Schwab, Fidelity, or similar custodians
  • Collaborate with internal team to ensure a seamless and consistent client experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Business, Finance, or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in wealth management or financial services
  • Strong knowledge of investment vehicles, financial planning strategies, tax optimization, estate planning, and retirement income solutions
  • Active FINRA Series 7 and 63/65 (or 66) licenses required; CFP® designation strongly preferred
  • Skilled in prospecting, networking, and acquiring new client relationships
  • Familiarity with custodial platforms such as Schwab, Fidelity, or equivalent
  • Proficient in financial planning software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • An existing book of business is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to work in-office 4 days per week; 1 remote day

Compensation & Benefits

  • Total compensation : $100,000–$200,000+ (includes base salary, performance-based variable comp, and trails); base salary range: $60,000–$75,000
  • Benefits : Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match
  • Paid time off : 3 weeks PTO

Growth Path:

This person will have the ability to learn and develop in this role through working with clients on complex financial planning cases as well as side by side with a very experienced advisor and firm owner. Long term, this role could lead into equity partnership and ultimately firm succession, increased compensation and responsibility, and an option for team leadership.
