Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Target Compensation Range: $90,000 - $115,000/year, depending on the relevant qualifications and experience.

SUMMARY: The Human Resources Manager will assist the Director of Human Resources plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Collaborate with the Director of HR to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Answers inquiries from managers and employees on HR policies and procedures at the direction of the Director of HR.
  • Partner with leaders to identify and address performance gaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Back-up payroll processing, and maintain payroll records, updating exemptions, insurance benefits, deductions, transfer, terminations, and pay changes.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local Payroll Tax Law regarding payments of wages, tax withholdings, garnishments, and benefits.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant personnel law and regulations.
  • Manage, process and track employee leave entitlements, including medical leave of absence, and reasonable accommodations for onsite and corporate team members.
  • Lead and/or support with the Director of HR in timely and impartial investigations into employee concerns, including policy violations, harassment, and discrimination. Ensure thorough documentation and proper resolution in line with company values and legal standards.
  • Assist with mandatory State and Federal reporting including the annual 5500 reporting, EEO-1filing and ACA reporting.
  • Admin support for the Director of HR.
  • Manage HR team members on a daily task and provide coaching as needed.
  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :

  • Required a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, and/or Professional HR certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM – SCP or SPHR or related field.
  • 10 years of HR work experience role.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in a HR Manger role.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
  • Experience using HRIS especially with Paylocity is helpful.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
