About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced full-stack engineer to join our product development team. You’ll be working across our Rails API and React-based mobile and web apps to build features, improve performance, and support our growing customer base.

You’ll play a central role in everything from building features to refining architecture, collaborating in team discussions, and taking ownership of your work from idea to deployment.

This position leans more heavily toward Rails development but requires an understanding of modern JavaScript and React, especially regarding syncing data between our API and mobile app.

What You’ll Do:

• Independently implement, test, refine, and deploy end-to-end features
• Contribute meaningfully to grooming sessions and architectural decisions
• Improve performance, security, and maintainability of our Rails API and website
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to shape features from concept to launch
• Occasionally contribute to UI/UX implementation
• Troubleshoot and maintain 3D party integrations like Stripe, AI Models, and Elastic Search.

Desired Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software development experience, ideally full-stack
• Proficient with Ruby on Rails, MySQL, React/Redux, and AI models/APIs.
• Rails testing frameworks such as Rspec and Capybara
• Knowledge of modern CSS principles, including CSS frameworks
• Comfortable contributing to conversations around architecture and system design
• Experience working on a small team, ideally B2C 
• Portfolio of work to share 
• Can work independently while communicating effectively with others

Bonus Points If You Have Experience With:

• Incrementally integrating React, or other modern Javascript frameworks, into existing Rails applications
• Maintaining and upgrading Rails frameworks
• Cloudflare tools including security and caching
• Mobile app development using Capacitor and React
• The Stripe API and payment flows
• DevOps and SysAdmin
