A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Facilities Technician I to support facility maintenance, safety programs, and sustainability initiatives. This is an entry-level role with training provided - ideal for someone hands-on, dependable, and eager to grow in a technical environment. You'll report to the Facilities Manager and play a key part in keeping operations running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:Assist with basic building and equipment maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.)
Conduct site walk-throughs to identify repair needs, hazards, or improvement opportunities
Support recycling and waste reduction programs to minimize landfill contributions
Follow and promote environmental, health, and safety protocols
Participate in emergency response training and drills
Help maintain stock levels for facility tools and supplies
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or industrial environments
Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs throughout the shift
Basic reading, math, and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and willingness to learn
Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Familiarity with construction trades (plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical)
Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments
CPR/First Aid, Lockout/Tagout, or scissor lift certifications (can be trained on the job)
Knowledge of OSHA and environmental safety protocols
