WHAT YOU'LL DO As a member of the Custodial & Maintenance Team, theFacilities Janitor is responsible for keeping the facility clean, safe, and in good condition. Other expectations may include: Cleaning:Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors, furniture, restrooms, and other surfaces Sanitizing:Disinfecting surfaces, restrooms, and commonly used items Trash removal:Taking out the trash and recycling Maintenance:Performing minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs or unclogging toilets Safety:Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, and notifying supervisors of unsafe conditions Inventory:Maintaining cleaning and maintenance supplies, and placing orders for new products Outdoor maintenance:Removing litter, snow, and debris from sidewalksand parking area Window cleaning:Washing windows, glass partitions, and mirrors Carpet cleaning:Steam-cleaning or shampooing carpets Equipment operation:Operating floor scrubbers and other equipment WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM Previous janitorial or custodial experience for a large facility such as a warehouse, school district, airport, shopping center, etc. is helpful but not required. Training is provided High school diploma or GED Able to work as part of a team with a great attitude High standards for following instructions, detailed work, and work quality Able to stand for extended periods and move about the facility as needed Able to work with minimal supervision Self-motivated, self-disciplined, and organized Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU Entry-level to experiencedjanitorial position Competitive Wage: $20-24/hr On-the-job training and advancement opportunities Shift: Monday Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Three weeks of paid time off.
