Position: Estimator

Location: Charlotte, NC

Compensation: $110K-$120K + Benefits (Health, Dental, 401k, PTO)

We are seeking a Concrete Estimator with specialized experience in heavy civil infrastructure and water/wastewater treatment plants to join our team in Charlotte. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for concrete work on heavy civil and water/wastewater treatment plant projects.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents to determine concrete quantities and scope.
• Quantify formwork, rebar, and placement efforts for large-scale structural concrete components (e.g., tanks, basins, foundations, and retaining walls).
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop cost-effective, constructible solutions.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and risk assessment meetings.
• Assist in preparing bid packages and presentations for public and private clients.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction, particularly concrete scopes on water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, or similar infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction methods, cast-in-place structures, and formwork systems.
• Familiarity with applicable DOT and municipal specifications.
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift).
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
