HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE IAF TEAM:

  • Be a SAFETY Champion promoting a proactive, positive safety culture
  • Identify and correct potential safety hazards
  • Monitor safety compliance during safety walks on the production floor and campus grounds
  • Administer compliance with federal & state laws, OSHA guidelines and company policies
  • Initiate company protocols for emergencies, accidents, incidents, and near-miss incident procedures
  • Deliver training programs in large groups and 1-on-1
  • Flexibility to work in a manufacturing production floor and office environment
  • And, of course, since we work as ONE TEAM – you’ll probably get to help out with some of the other cool things we have going on here!

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE IAF TEAM:

  • Ability to work 2nd shift with flexibility to support outside of core shift hours
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical mindset to see potential hazards, identify root causes, and prevent accidents
  • Proactive viewpoint toward safety to protect all of our team members
  • Capability to bring creative solutions to the table when identifying issues
  • Initiative with a “get-things-done” attitude

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE ON THE IAF TEAM:

  • Minimum of Associate of Science degree
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Safety role in manufacturing environment
  • OSHA 10 Hour Class
  • Bonus points for completing the 30 Hour OSHA class

WHERE WE WORK: ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

With a tremendous focus on 4S+ and continuous improvement, our facility is a clean and organized workplace. We do work with chemicals, and part of our process includes heat treat ovens, so it can get hot and dirty at times. Our facility is not temperature controlled, but we offer lots of opportunities to cool off in the summer heat!

  • Seeing (close, distant, color, peripheral, depth perception, and adjusting focus)
  • Talking, hearing, smelling

  • Regularly using hands for various tasks
  • Reaching with hands and arms
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds regularly
  • And occasionally:
  • Lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
