Civil Estimator / Project Manager

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Civil Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing team. In this hybrid role, you’ll be responsible for leading projects from bid to closeout—combining estimating expertise with field coordination to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of high-quality sitework.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating:

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents for public and private sector sitework projects
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates (earthwork, utilities, grading, duct banks, conduits, concrete, etc.)
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and internal teams to finalize and submit competitive bids
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, value engineering, and scope clarifications

Project Management:

• Manage awarded projects from kickoff to completion
• Develop and track project schedules, budgets, and production goals
• Lead coordination between field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors
• Monitor job progress, quality, and safety compliance
• Handle RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
• Communicate with owners, developers, and GC partners throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction related field
• 2+ years of experience in civil construction estimating
• Proficient in reading civil plans and specs
• Experience with estimating software (Agtek, HCSS, or similar) is a plus
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with a team-first mindset
