This is an on-site role in Seattle .

Pay Range: $39/hr - $43/hr​

Join a pioneering team crafting immersive experiences for a leading entertainment company. As a Cinematic Animator, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of interactive storytelling, breathing life into captivating characters and pushing the boundaries of animation technology. Your expertise will be instrumental in bringing dynamic and engaging narratives to life.

As a key member of the animation team, you will collaborate with talented colleagues to create and implement high-quality in-game animations. Your contributions will directly impact the player experience, adding depth and realism to the game world. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to a beloved franchise.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement high-quality character animations for in-game sequences.
  • Collaborate with animation leads, production teams, and outsource managers to refine and enhance animation workflows.
  • Partner with co-development and outsourcing partners to uphold animation quality standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional character performances and immersive player experiences.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Extensive professional experience in game or film animation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Maya, demonstrating a proven ability to create, edit, and implement animations effectively.
  • Strong understanding of animation principles and their application in crafting believable characters and experiences.
  • Ability to consider gameplay animation needs from multiple perspectives, including animation quality, design requirements, player experience, and expectations.
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Shipped at least one game or film title.
  • Experience with MetaHuman and Unreal Control Rig.
  • Python or Mel scripting experience.
  • A passion for the game's universe.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $39/hr - $43/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
