Summary

This is a Childcare facility. Experience as a prior cook in a childcare facility is desired.

Oxford Children's Academy is located in Surfside Beach, SC. We are currently seeking childcare cook who can provide excellent service to our children while serving healthy meals. The ideal candidate would also be familiar with the CACFP guidelines and regulations but not required.

• Prepares and serves breakfast, lunch and snack for the children enrolled in the Child Care Center
• Assists with weekly menus
• Assists with preparing shopping lists
• Organizes and cleans kitchen according to health department standards
• Maintains nurtritional requirements as identified by CACFP program

Duties

• Prepares meals and snack to be served on schedule identified by director; serving children during mealtime.
• Maintains proper food measurements for meals in accordance with the CACFP program.
• Cleans and maintains kitchen area in a sanitary, safe and organized manner as requited by the Center and health department.
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions for ABC, DSS and CACFP program.
• Supports the values and institutional goals as defined in the Center.
• Promotes positive morale and teamwork within the center and provides exceptional customer service to parents, staff and community.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1 years experience cooking in a liscensed daycare.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Successful background check
• Must have a clear Tuberculosis (TB) Test not older than 1 year
• Must have Pediatric First Aid and CPR certificate or become certified with 4 weeks of hire
• A strong commitment to the center's mission
• Ability to maintain a safe and sanitary food preparation area
• Ability to relate to and work effectively with staff and young children
• Ability to be flexible and adjust to varied situations
• Ability to maintain appropriate and professional behavior at all times
• Ability to communicate effectivley and courteously with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with children from 2 months to 12 years of age
