Job Description

Barker Patterson Nichols, LLP is seeking an experienced associate to join our growing team.

Duties include:

• Manage a diverse caseload of medical malpractice claims
• Collaborate closely with partners, attorneys and team members on strategic legal projects
• Attend court appearances, conduct depositions and motions as well as other legal proceedings
• Maintain regular communication with clients providing detailed case updates, managing client expectations, and offering proactive solutions
• Draft and review complex legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and settlement agreements
• Contribute to the development of case strategies in preparation for trials and settlement negotiations
